Thunderstorms

One of the great things about summer are the thunderstorms that we get in our area.  One minute the sky is bright and blue, but in the distance you can see the dark, thunderous clouds looming in.  Slowly they creep, turning light into darkness.  The winds pick up and you can smell the crisp storm in the air.  Big, fat pellets of rain come slamming down, until its one gigantic sheet; an electric bolt of ligtening cracks, illuminating the sky followed closey by a thunderous roar.  And in a heartbeat, the storm has passed, leaving a calm surrender.

I Like Balls

Besides clean lines, I also like colors.  I hate going into someone's home and seeing boring, plain white walls.  I love color, the more vibrant, the better.  So when I was over at my Mother's and saw this bowl full of beautiful colored marbles, had to take pictures of them.

The big marble looks like a solar system/galaxy to me.

I highlighted the big marble in this one to show all the different colors throughout it.

Nails on a Board

I'm really into clean lines and textures.  Maybe its the Asian in me.  Here are some pics of the wooden boards on my balcony.

I like how you can see the texture of the boards and even how rusty the nails look.

I saturated the colors for this one and you can see the texture even more clearly and I like the vibrant green from the trees behind.

He's Just Great

After I got some upsetting news from my Best Friend (she'll be known from here on out as BFE, Best Friend Ever), I texted my boyfriend letting him know how much I love him and how glad I am that he's in my life.  He replies back with this:

He's just awesome and he too is the best thing that has ever happened to me.  I'm so lucky!

Chores

This Saturday, I had to get some laundry and cleaning done at my place.  I'm kinda a messy person and have been trying to be better about picking up after myself. 

I had four loads of laundry to take care of.  Some of this was my boyfriend's stuff (still gotta think of a nickname for him).

Sombero of Honor

On Thursday, my huge renewal from last quarter came in, so I got to don The Sombero of Honor, instead of The Headband of Shame.  Go me!

Bad Habits

This is hopefully my last cigarette ever!  Trying to quit, starting now.

My boyfriend (gotta think of a good nickname for him), is currently away at a company trade show.  I dropped him off at the airport early Monday morning and when we said goodbye, both of us forgot to say, "I love you."  I didn't even realize it until I got to work and checked my phone.  He sent me this text.

I love him so much!

Guilty Pleasures

I love trash reality tv!  I used to be a big fan of the Real Housewives Series, but lately its nothing but drama and nasty cat fights.  But Bethenny Getting Married, is nice and refreshing and doesn't have any of that silly girl meaness.
